There are several opportunities for students to earn extra credit. If extra credit is not needed, students may complete these tasks for classroom money.
Book Activities: Choose a template and complete a book activity (see me for examples and options). No spelling, grammar, or punctuation errors. Colored completely. (5 points each, up to 20 points). Book Talk: Students must write and prepare a book talk to be presented in front of the class. While this requires much more time, effort, and bravery, it is worth a significant number of points. If extra credit is to be earned in ELA, students may choose a book that is fiction or non-fiction, on the topic of their choice. If extra credit is to be earned in social studies, the students must choose a non-fiction text on a historical figure or event (such as the "Who was?" series). |
